Chin implants can be done under local anesthetic while cheek and jaw implants must be done under general anesthesia.
Typical duration is 1 hour. The surgery is performed on an outpatient basis.
Expect some bruising in the face that resolves by 7 days after surgery. You should be able to get back to work by then. No suture removal or compression garment is necessary.
